Start with identity

workspace.yaml describes the project, implementation repositories, relationships, workspace repository, and any borrowed knowledge. members.yaml describes the shared roster and record language or tone.

Keep the work traceable

Intent and plan files preserve the approved outcome and implementation approach. The permanent ID ledger prevents reuse even after archival. Knowledge notes capture the durable result rather than task history.

Resolve local state

repositories.local.yaml binds logical IDs to checkout paths and base branches. member.local.yaml selects the active member. Native role files, worktree associations, locks, and ignored runtime files belong to the machine.
